Choosing the Right Part

Fuel pump hangers and hanger surge tanks are vehicle-specific, so match the kit to your exact chassis code — for example Nissan GT-R (R35), Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) or Holden Commodore (VE/VF). Fuel rails and plumbing kits are listed by engine as well as model, covering Subaru EJ and FA, Nissan RB26, SR20 and VQ, Toyota G16E-GTS and 3S-GTE (SW20/ST205/ST185), Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution I/II/III and Galant VR4, VW/Audi EA888, Ford Barra and Toyota 1JZ/2JZ. Bore size and fitting thread can vary between engine variants, so order against the engine code rather than the model name alone. Catch can and AOS kits are engineered around factory hose routing and mounting points, so choose the chassis-specific kit where one is listed — such as Subaru WRX (VA) / Forester XT (SJ), Honda Civic Type R (FK8/FL5), Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (CZ4A) or Toyota Chaser / Mark II (JZX100) 1JZ-GTE. Fittings are sized in AN and ORB (for example 6AN, 8AN ORB, 10AN ORB) and NPT, so confirm thread size and hose size before adding fittings or hose to your order. Radium fuel system components are compatible with petrol, E85, ethanol, methanol and diesel.

Installation & What You'll Need

Installation by a professional is recommended, as fuel system work involves pressurised fuel lines and, in the case of hangers and surge tanks, access to the fuel tank. Fuel rail kits include hose and fittings, but a return-style system still needs the lines routed, secured and sealed correctly, and you may need additional AN fittings, E85 safe hose or a fuel pressure gauge to complete the job. Catch can and AOS kits use the supplied brackets and hardware to suit factory mounting points, and coolant-heated AOS kits require a coolant connection. Confirm clearance under the bonnet and check fuel pressure with a gauge or test kit once the system is assembled.

FAQ

What is the difference between a catch can and an AOS?
A catch can collects oil and moisture in a reservoir you drain manually. An Air Oil Separator filters the vapour and returns the oil to the sump automatically, and Radium's AOS kits are often coolant-heated to stop water condensation mixing with the oil.

Why fit a fuel surge tank?
Under hard cornering or braking, fuel can move away from the pickup in the main tank and cause a momentary lean condition. A surge tank stays full and feeds the pump a constant supply regardless of what the main tank is doing.

Are Radium products compatible with E85?
Yes. Rails, regulators, hangers, surge tanks, filters and plumbing use E85 safe materials, including stainless steel internals, PTFE hose and FKM O-rings.

What does FIA FT3 certification mean for a fuel cell?
FT3 is the FIA standard covering bladder material and construction for impact resistance, and SFI 28.1 is the US equivalent. Check which standard your motorsport category or log book calls up before ordering, as some accept either and some are specific.
