A Performance Big Brake Kit is the biggest single upgrade you can make to your car's stopping power, and it's one we spec and fit on customer cars every week, from daily-driven hatches doing school runs and the odd track day, to dedicated time attack builds at The Bend and Wakefield Park. A proper BBK bundles larger rotors with a stronger multi-piston caliper, so you get more clamping force, better heat capacity, and a firmer pedal when the standard brakes start to fade. It's the fix for spongy pedal feel after a few hot laps, or for anyone who's outgrown their factory brakes after adding power or dropping weight.

Why upgrade to a Big Brake Kit

Standard brakes are sized for everyday driving, not repeated hard stops from high speed. Once you start tracking a car or adding power, the factory rotors and calipers heat up fast and fade, and the pedal goes long and soft. A BBK fits larger rotors that shed heat better and a stiffer caliper that flexes less under load, so pedal feel stays consistent lap after lap. We've fitted these kits on our own project cars and customer builds, and the difference in pedal confidence under brakes into turn one is immediate.

Fitment & Installation

Big Brake Kits are wheel-fitment sensitive. Larger rotors and calipers need enough clearance behind the wheel spokes, so always check the kit's minimum wheel diameter and offset before ordering, especially if you're running aftermarket wheels. Some kits require longer wheel studs or spacers to clear the caliper. We recommend bedding in new pads and rotors properly before any hard driving, and flushing brake fluid at the same time if it's due. If you're unsure whether a kit clears your wheels, send us your wheel specs before you buy.

Do I need new brake lines with a BBK?
Most kits use factory-length lines or include their own, but if you're lowering the car or changing calipers significantly, a braided line from our Brake Lines range is worth adding.

Can I still use my handbrake with a rear BBK?
Most rear kits retain the factory handbrake mechanism, but this varies by kit. Check the individual product listing for details.

Do these kits come with pads and everything needed to fit?
