Radium Engineering | Precision Fluid Management & Fuel Systems
Science-driven fluid solutions for the world's most demanding builds. At Chicane Australia, we provide specialised supply for Radium Engineering. Every Radium product is designed in-house using advanced computer simulation to ensure that fuel pressure remains stable and intake tracts remain clean under extreme G-forces. We facilitate fast sourcing and reliable delivery across Australia for their flagship range of fuel surge tanks, catch cans, and high-flow fuel rails.
The Radium Technical Advantage & Fuel Starvation Protection
Radium Engineering is world-renowned for their Fuel Surge Tank (FST) technology, which provides a dedicated reservoir of fuel to prevent the lean-out conditions caused by fuel slosh in factory tanks. For the modern direct-injection era, their Port Injection Kits (PIK) allow for secondary fuelling on the Civic Type R (FL5), essential for 370kW+ builds. Furthermore, their Air Oil Separator (AOS) systems utilize a heated, multi-stage condensing chamber to return oil to the block, ensuring your intercooler and valves remain free of performance-robbing blow-by.
Our sourcing capabilities cover the flagship Radium Engineering range:
• Fuel Surge Tanks & Hangers: Multi-pump collectors and drop-in hangers for the Subaru WRX (VB/VA), Toyota GR Yaris (GXPA16), and Nissan Skyline (R32/R33/R34).
• Baffled Catch Cans & AOS: Vehicle-specific kits designed to raise effective octane by keeping oily vapours out of the Civic Type R (FL5/FK8) and Toyota GR86 (ZN8) intake.
• High-Flow Fuel Rails: Billet 6063 aluminium rails with large bores and thermal insulating spacers for Subaru (EJ/FA) and Mitsubishi Evo (CT9A/CZ4A) engines.
• Fuel Pulse Dampers: Essential for smoothing out pressure "waves" in high-flow systems, ensuring a consistent injector signal for smoother idling and part-throttle cruising.
Based on the Central Coast, NSW, we provide the technical expertise to assist you in configuring a complete E85-safe fuel system. We work closely with our supply network to ensure your authentic Radium hardware is sourced and despatched with professional care and speed.
Radium Engineering FAQ
What is the difference between a Catch Can and an AOS?
A Catch Can collects oil and moisture in a reservoir that you must manually drain periodically. An Air Oil Separator (AOS) is a more advanced system that filters the vapours and automatically drains the oil back into the engine's oil pan. Radium AOS kits are often heated by engine coolant to prevent water condensation from mixing with your oil.
Why do I need a Fuel Surge Tank for track use?
Under high G-loads, fuel in the main tank moves away from the pickup, causing momentary pressure drops that can lead to catastrophic engine failure. A Radium Surge Tank stays 100% full at all times, providing a constant supply of fuel to the engine regardless of how much fuel is sloshing around in the main tank.
How quickly can you source Radium products?
We utilise a robust international and local supply network to provide the fastest possible turnaround. Most Radium Catch Cans, Fuel Rails, and FPDs for popular Australian performance platforms are sourced and despatched within a short timeframe for delivery nationwide.
