Radium Engineering Fuel Vent Charcoal Canister

The Radium Engineering Fuel Vent Charcoal Canister is a high-performance solution for eliminating fuel vapour odours from the tank vent system. Designed for use with both EFI and carbureted fuel systems, this compact canister scrubs hydrocarbons from vented fuel vapor before it exits into the atmosphere. It’s ideal for motorsport, street, or custom fuel system setups where odour control is required.

Testing
Radium Engineering performed in-house testing to validate system efficiency:

• Flow Testing: A high-speed dry break dump can was used to measure pressure drop. Results showed no significant restriction with the charcoal canister installed.

• Vapour Detection: Using a combustible gas detector (range: 50–10,000 ppm), unfiltered fuel vents showed readings over 10,000 ppm. With the canister installed, readings dropped to below 50 ppm—well within safe and odourless limits.

Construction

• CNC-machined 6061 aluminium, anodised for corrosion resistance

• Serviceable 3-piece design with sealed FKM O-rings

• 16AN ORB threaded female end caps for high-flow venting

• Internal baffles and dual 150 micron strainers prevent carbon dust blow-by

• Vibratory-packed activated charcoal core for long service life

Fitment Options

• 20-0828-00 – Universal fit with two 16AN ORB to 10AN ORB couplers included. Suitable for vent lines on most classic and modified fuel tanks (1/4", 5/16", 3/8").

• 20-0828-08 – Pre-configured for 1/2" (12.7mm) vent hose. Includes secondary outlet for optional 3/4" air filter.

• 20-0828-12 – Designed for 3/4" (19mm) vent hose. Compatible with Radium fuel cell surge tank systems.

Mounting Hardware
Each kit includes a 2-piece anodised billet clamp with stainless M5 hardware for secure mounting on chassis, firewall, or rear bulkhead locations.
