Mufflers
Mufflers set the tone of the whole car, and they change how the rest of the exhaust behaves. Our range covers resonated and straight-through designs in a spread of diameters and inlet/outlet configurations, from mellow daily setups through to loud, light units for time attack cars at The Bend. We stock them as standalone upgrades and as the final piece of a cat-back or axle-back build.

Mufflers here suit popular Japanese and European performance platforms including WRX/STI, 86/BRZ and GR86, Golf GTI and Golf R, and turbocharged Nissan and Mitsubishi models. Some units are vehicle-specific bolt-on parts, others are universal bodies sized by inlet diameter for a custom system. Fitment varies by design and inlet size, so confirm the application on the product page before ordering.

Why Choose Our Muffler Range
We stock mufflers from brands with a real track record in exhaust engineering, picked for weld quality, stainless or titanium construction that survives Australian roads, and a sound character that matches the intended use.
The choice usually comes down to core design. A resonated or chambered muffler keeps cruising volume down and softens drone, which is what most street-driven turbo cars want. A straight-through perforated core with packing flows harder and gives a sharper note up top, but it gets louder as the packing ages. Naturally aspirated cars lean loud because there is no turbo muffling the exhaust; turbo cars can run a freer design and stay civil. We carry both because the right answer depends on the car, the rest of the system and how often the owner drives it.
Fitment & Installation
Match inlet and outlet diameter, overall body length and mounting position to your existing system or your planned build. A muffler that is technically correct on diameter can still foul a hanger or sit too close to the rear valance if the body is longer than the one it replaces.
Most installers will need new exhaust gaskets, clamps or band clamps, and sometimes a hanger rubber if the mounting point moves. Slip-fit and clamped designs are a bolt-on job; universal bodies need welding and are best left to an exhaust shop. Some AU-delivered cars have different rear routing and heat shielding to JDM or US versions, so check clearance around the rear subframe, fuel tank and spare wheel well before final tightening. A quick spring-hanger alignment check after the first heat cycle avoids rattles later.

FAQ
Will a muffler fit my car without other exhaust changes?
It depends on inlet size and mounting. Some are direct-fit replacements for the factory rear section, others are universal bodies that need an adaptor or welding into an existing system.
What is the difference between a resonated and a straight-through muffler?
Resonated and chambered designs use internal baffling to cut volume and drone. Straight-through designs use a perforated core wrapped in packing, so they flow more and sound sharper, especially at higher RPM.
Will a straight-through muffler be too loud for daily driving?
Not always. Many are tuned to stay reasonable at idle and cruise, with more presence under load. Check the product description for sound notes, and remember that state noise limits still apply on the road.
Do these mufflers come with a warranty?
Manufacturer warranty terms apply. Check the individual product page for specifics.
Can I get a muffler shipped anywhere in Australia?
Yes, we ship Australia-wide.
