Choosing the Right Part
-
Match the chassis and model years. Body panels are made for specific chassis codes and year ranges. Examples include FL5 for the current Civic Type R, A90/A91 for the GR Supra, G80/G82/G83 for the BMW M3/M4, and Mk8 for the Golf GTI. Subaru WRX/STI and BRZ kits are split into separate year ranges, such as 2015–2017 and 2018–2021.
-
Choose the material. Listings state whether a panel is carbon fibre, dry carbon fibre or FRP. Seibon also offers double-sided carbon bonnets, which show carbon on both the outer and inner faces.
-
Choose the style. OEM-style panels follow the factory shape. Seibon's GT, TS, TV, VS and MB styles are alternative designs, so check the product photos to compare them.
-
Check the finish and options. Some panels are listed in a gloss finish. Some options are listed separately, such as the Spoon Sports S-Tai FRP bonnet with rain guards.
-
Read the fitment note. Any special condition for a part is listed in the Note line on its product page.
Installation & What You'll Need
Replacement bonnets, doors, roofs, guards and bumpers involve removing factory panels and setting panel gaps and alignment. Installation by a professional is recommended. Check each product page for kit contents and any parts that need to be reused from the original panel.
FAQ
What is the difference between OEM-style and other bonnet styles?
OEM-style bonnets follow the factory shape. Styles such as GT, TS, TV and VS are alternative designs, so compare the product photos to choose one.
What does double-sided carbon fibre mean?
A double-sided panel shows carbon fibre on both the outer surface and the underside, rather than on the outer surface only.
Will a part for the Toyota 86 also fit a Subaru BRZ?
Only when the listing names both cars. For example, the APR Carbon Rear Bumper Valance is listed for the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ 2013–2016. Always check the vehicle and years on the product page.
Does Chicane install these parts?
No. Chicane supplies the parts, and installation by a professional is recommended.
