Plug-in or universal: Plug-in ECUs are made for a specific vehicle and connect to its factory wiring. Universal ECUs from the Link G4X range (AtomX, StormX, MonsoonX and XtremeX) suit custom builds and engine conversions where no plug-in option exists.

Match the chassis code and version: Many plug-in ECUs only suit certain chassis codes, model years or versions. Check yours before you order. Some examples from this range:

• Subaru WRX/STI (GC8): separate ECUs for V1-2, V3-4 and V5-6.
• Subaru WRX (GDA/GGA) / STI (GDB): different options for MY04-06 and MY06-07. The WRXLink V11 suits the WRX (GR/GV/GH/GE) MY2007-2011.
• Mazda MX-5: separate ECUs for the NB1 (MY98-00) and the NB2 (MY2001-2005).
• Mazda RX-7: separate ECUs for the FC Series 6 and the FD3S Series 7-8.
• Nissan: options for the Silvia (S13) and 200SX (S14/S15), Skyline GT-T (ER34), Skyline GT-R (BNR32/BCNR33/BNR34), 300ZX (Z32), and 350Z (Z33) / Skyline (V35).
• Toyota: options for the Supra (A70/JZA80), MR2 (AW11/SW20), Celica (ST185/ST205), and Chaser/Cresta/Mark II (JZX90 and JZX100).
• Mitsubishi: options for the Lancer Evolution I-III (CD9A/CE9A), Lancer Evolution VIII/IX (CT9A) and Galant VR-4 (EC5A).

Check the fitment conditions: Some ECUs only suit certain drivetrains. For example, the JZXLink for the Toyota JZX100 suits manual cars only. Read the fitment notes on each product page.

Installation by a professional is recommended. After it is installed, an aftermarket ECU must be set up and tuned to suit your engine and modifications.
