Downpipes are the single biggest restriction on most turbo cars, and freeing up the turbo outlet is usually the best value change you can make. Our range covers catted pipes for daily-driven cars and catless (decat) pipes for race and motorsport use only. We stock brands chosen for mandrel-bent stainless construction, accurate flange spacing and materials that survive constant heat cycling, from Sydney traffic through to track days at The Bend.
Shop by Vehicle
We stock downpipes for turbocharged Japanese and European platforms, including Subaru WRX and STI, Toyota GR Yaris and GR Corolla, Nissan GT-R, Mitsubishi Evo, Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R, Audi S3 and RS3, and BMW N54 and N55 models. Fitment varies by turbo and chassis, so check the fitment notes on the product page or contact us before ordering.

The range includes single and twin-scroll downpipes, high-flow catted downpipes, catless pipes for closed-course use, and dump pipe or front pipe sections for older platforms. Diameters typically run from 3 inch up to 4 inch depending on the turbo and power target. Related parts sit in De-Cat Pipes, Sports Cats and Exhaust Accessories for gaskets, studs and clamps.
Why Chicane for Downpipes
Bad downpipes are easy to spot: crush bends, thin flanges that warp after a few heat cycles and bolt holes that never quite line up. We choose brands that get the basics right, with proper mandrel bends, thick CNC-cut flanges and merge collectors built for the specific turbo housing. Catted options use high-flow cats so a daily car keeps a sensible emissions setup, while catless pipes flow more but are strictly for race and motorsport use. Bigger is not always better either: oversized piping on a small turbo can hurt low-rpm response, so match the diameter to the turbo rather than the biggest number available.
Fitment & Installation
Match the pipe to your exact model, year and turbo, and check whether the listing suits AU-delivered spec, as some grey imports use different flanges or housings. Most installers allow for new gaskets, fresh exhaust studs and nuts, and anti-seize on assembly, since factory hardware is often seized or rounded. Some pipes relocate or delete a factory O2 sensor bung, so check sensor positions before you start. Heat wrap or a shield is worth considering where the pipe runs close to steering or wiring. Most platforms also need a retune afterwards to suit the extra flow.

FAQ
Catted or catless: which should I buy?
If the car is registered and driven on the road, go catted. Catless downpipes are for race and motorsport use only.
Do I need a tune after fitting a downpipe?
Most turbo platforms do. A retune corrects fuelling and timing for the extra flow and is where most of the gain is realised.
Will this fit my exact model and year?
Fitment is turbo and chassis specific, and some AU-delivered variants differ from overseas cars. Check the listing or ask us first.
What size downpipe do I need?
Match it to your turbo and power target rather than buying the largest option. Oversized piping can dull throttle response on smaller turbos.
Do you ship downpipes Australia-wide?
Yes, we ship Australia-wide.
Not sure which downpipe suits your car? Send us your model, year and turbo setup and we'll point you to the right option.
