Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII CT9A Performance Parts & Upgrades
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII (CT9A) moved the Evo to a new, larger body in 2001 and was built for Japan until early 2003, so Australian cars are JDM imports. GSR, RS and the automatic GT-A were offered, all with the 2.0L 4G63T turbo and all-wheel drive. This page lists the parts we stock for the Evo VII, led by HARDRACE suspension, with Nitto and GSC Power-Division engine parts, ARP studs, AST, MOTON and Öhlins coilovers, Mishimoto intercooler pipes, Tomei and ARTEC exhaust parts, and Brembo, Alcon, AP Racing and Paragon brakes.
Suspension: HARDRACE front lower arms, bushes, ball joints, tie rods, sway bars and bracing, plus AST, MOTON and Öhlins coilovers.
Engine: Nitto rods, pistons, cranks and gaskets, GSC Power-Division cams and valvetrain, and ARP head and main studs.
Turbo and intercooler: ARTEC dump and front pipes, Mishimoto intercooler pipe kits, the Turbosmart wastegate actuator and GFB and Turbosmart blow off valves.
Exhaust and fuel: Tomei titanium mufflers and manifolds, Radium fuel parts, Injector Dynamics injectors and a Walbro in-tank pump.
Brakes and cooling: Brembo, Alcon, AP Racing and Paragon big brake kits, Frenkit rebuild kits, a Koyorad radiator and Mishimoto hoses and thermostat.
Choosing the Right Part
GSR, RS or GT-A: the GT-A is automatic and the RS lacks some GSR driveline parts, so check gearbox and diff parts before ordering.
VII, VIII or IX: the three share the CT9A body, so most suspension and brake parts fit all of them. Some engine and aero parts are made for one model only.
Brake size: some RS models have 15-inch brakes; Frenkit kits and rotors are made for the Brembo or the smaller set-up.
Installation
Engine internals, fuel and ECU work should be done by an experienced engine builder or tuner. Have suspension and brake parts fitted by a qualified workshop, get a wheel alignment afterwards, and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work.
