A master cylinder brace (also called a master cylinder stopper) stops the brake master cylinder from flexing away from the bulkhead under hard pedal pressure. On many cars the firewall deflects during heavy braking, which shows up as a soft, long pedal. A stopper ties the master cylinder back to a rigid mounting point to give a firmer, more consistent pedal feel.

Choosing the Right Part
- Chassis code: Each stopper is made for specific vehicles. Match the chassis code in the listing title (for example ZN6, GD/GG, EK, S15 or CT9A) to your car.
- Drive side: Australian-delivered cars are right-hand drive. Listings marked "LHD" or "LHD Only" are for left-hand-drive vehicles and will not suit a right-hand-drive car.
- Finish: Some vehicles are offered in a Black version as well as the standard finish.
- Version: Some vehicles have more than one design, such as the V2 stopper for the Honda Civic (EK/EJ/EM1). Check the individual listing for details.
Installation & What You'll Need
