A Resonated Scorpion system includes an extra silencer chamber to cancel out specific sound frequencies, providing a deeper, more refined note that is perfect for daily driving. A Non-Resonated system is a straight-through design, offering a louder, more raw exhaust note preferred for track use or enthusiasts seeking maximum volume.
Will a Scorpion exhaust trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL)?
Cat-back and GPF-back systems will not trigger a CEL. However, if you install a "De-cat" or high-flow downpipe, an ECU remap is generally required to manage the increased flow and prevent any sensor errors on modern platforms like the Golf R or Civic Type R.
