Strut Mounts

• Reinforced and hardened strut mounts: Hardrace direct replacements for the factory rubber mount. • Chassis code: Match your vehicle's chassis code to the listing title, for example GC/GF/GM versus GD/GG on the Impreza WRX, or ZC31 versus ZC32 on the Swift. Different generations often use different mounts.
• Front or rear: Each listing states which axle it suits. Many Hardrace mounts are front-only. The Dinan kits are rear upper mounts.
• Side: Some mounts are side-specific. One example is the Hardrace right-side top mount for the Nissan Tiida (C12), Juke (F15) and Pulsar.
• Size: Dinan rear upper shock mount kits come in 10mm, 12mm and 14mm. The 14mm M3 kit is listed for use with OEM EDC shocks, so check which version matches your car and dampers.
• Mount style: Choose a reinforced or hardened mount to firm up a factory setup. Choose a pillow-ball camber-adjustable mount if you also want to adjust front camber.

Fitting a strut mount usually means removing the strut assembly and dismantling it, which involves working with a compressed coil spring. Installation by a professional is recommended. A wheel alignment should be carried out afterwards, especially when fitting camber-adjustable mounts. Check each product listing for kit contents and any fitment conditions before ordering.

What does a strut mount do?
It locates the top of the damper in the body. A worn rubber mount allows unwanted deflection under load, which can dull steering response.

What is the difference between a reinforced and a pillow-ball mount?
A reinforced or hardened mount is a firmer replacement for the factory rubber mount. A pillow-ball mount uses a spherical bearing, and camber-adjustable versions also let you set front camber.

Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting new strut mounts?
Yes, an alignment is recommended, particularly with camber-adjustable mounts, because they change suspension geometry.
