The Mercedes-AMG A45 S (W177) has been sold new in Australia since 2020. It uses the M139 2.0L turbo four-cylinder with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, and shares much of its running gear with the CLA 45 S and GLA 45 S. Popular upgrades for the A45 S

Suspension: AST coilovers and adjustable lowering springs, Öhlins Road & Track coilovers and the Öhlins EDC cancellation kit.
Brakes: the Paragon 6-piston front big brake kit, 2-piece front (360 x 36mm) and rear (330 x 22mm) rotors and titanium pad shims.
Exhaust: the Scorpion 89.9mm GPF-back system and Scorpion exhaust tunnel brace.
Engine: the GFB DV+ diverter valve with integrated solenoid.

Choosing the Right Part

A45 S or A35: the AST coilovers and springs fit both, but brakes and exhaust parts differ between the two.
Adaptive dampers: fit the Öhlins EDC cancellation kit when you replace the factory adaptive dampers, to stop dash warnings.
Shared brakes: Paragon rotors are listed for the A45 S, CLA 45 S and GLA 45 S. Check the sizes in the title against your car.

Installation

Have a qualified workshop fit suspension, brake and engine parts. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change, and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work. Always follow the maker's instructions and torque settings.
