AN fittings join hose, hard line and component ports in fuel, vacuum and breather systems. They let you adapt between AN sizes, O-ring boss (ORB) ports, metric and NPT threads, and hose barbs. Choosing the Right Part
- AN size: Match the dash size to your hose and port. This collection covers 4AN, 6AN, 8AN, 10AN, 12AN and 16AN. Not every style is made in every size.
- Connection type: Check whether each end needs an ORB port, a male AN flare, a female AN, a hose barb, NPT or a metric thread.
- Metric and NPT threads: Adaptors are available for M12x1.25mm female, M12x1.5mm female, M14x1.5mm inverted flare and M16x1.5mm male, plus 1/8in and 1/4in NPT.
- Barb size: Barb fittings are listed from 3/16in (4.8mm), 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 8.5mm and 10mm up to 1/2in, 3/4in and 1in hose. Match the barb to the inside diameter of your hose.
- Hose type: PTFE hose and PushLok hose each need their own matching hose ends.
- Angle: Choose straight, 60° or 90° fittings to suit your hose routing and clearance.
- Application-specific parts: Some fittings are made for one use, such as FPR adaptors, a Ford sensor adaptor, Toyota valve cover press-in fittings, and a vacuum port adaptor for Radium FPR/FPD units. Check the product listing for the exact bore, spacing and bolt size.
Installation & What You'll Need
Installation by a professional is recommended, especially for fuel system plumbing. Before ordering, confirm the AN size, thread type and barb size at each end of the line, and check that you have hose to match. You may also need fitting spanners, hose clamps for barb connections, and plugs for any unused ports. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for O-ring and thread sealing requirements.
