Fitting a hanger means opening the fuel tank, so the tank needs to be low on fuel and the work done somewhere well ventilated. A fuel hanger surge tank. It is a fuel pump hanger with a surge chamber around the pump that stays full, so the pump keeps getting fuel when the main tank sloshes.
