The Mazda RX-8 (SE3P) was sold new in Australia from 2003 to 2012, with the 1.3L Renesis twin-rotor engine driving the rear wheels and four doors with rear-hinged back doors. Its front and rear suspension shares many parts with the NC MX-5, so a lot of arms and links fit both. This page lists the parts we stock for the RX-8, from HARDRACE and SPL arms, links and mounts to AST, MOTON and Öhlins coilovers, a Paragon big brake kit, Frenkit caliper parts, a Borla cat-back, aFe intake and APR wings.
Suspension: HARDRACE camber kits, toe arms, trailing arms, lateral arms, end links and bushings, SPL tie rod ends and camber links, plus AST, MOTON and Öhlins coilovers and AST lowering springs.
Brakes: Paragon front 4-piston big brake kit and Frenkit caliper seal kits and pistons.
Engine and cooling: HARDRACE street and race engine mounts, a KOYORAD radiator and Injector Dynamics secondary injectors.
Intake and exhaust: aFe Takeda cold air intake and Borla cat-back.
Aero: APR Performance adjustable wings.
Choosing the Right Part
RX-8 or NC MX-5: parts listed for both cars share suspension design, but brake and engine parts are specific. Check the title.
Series 1 or Series 2: the RX-8 was updated in 2008. Check the title for any series or year note before ordering aero or trim.
Street or race mounts: HARDRACE offers street and race engine mounts; the race version passes more vibration into the cabin.
Older cars: many RX-8s now have worn bushes and tired mounts, so it can pay to replace them as a set.
Installation
Have a qualified workshop fit suspension, brake, drivetrain and engine parts. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change, and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work. Injector and intake changes need a tune to suit.
