We supply Injector Dynamics (ID) fuel injectors for street and race builds across Australia, from daily-driven WRXs in Sydney traffic to E85 time attack cars running at The Bend. Built in partnership with Bosch Motorsport, ID injectors are purpose-built motorsport components, not modified road car parts. We help customers pick the right size and adaptor top for their fuel rail and ECU before they order, so the injector that turns up actually bolts in.

Why Injector Dynamics
We recommend ID because the characterisation data behind every injector is genuinely useful when you're tuning, not just marketing. The XDS (Xtreme Duty Solenoid) technology used from the ID1750x up improves voltage independence and atomisation, which means smoother idle and easier cold starts even on injectors flowing well beyond stock. That matters on a street car you still have to drive to work.
For platform guidance: the ID1050x is the common choice for Subaru WRX/STI, Toyota 86/GR86 and Honda VTEC turbo conversions running moderate power on pump fuel or E85. The ID1300x uses all-stainless internals and suits E85 builds on Nissan Z and VW/Audi platforms. The ID1750x is the step up for Ford Barra and Nissan GT-R (VR38) builds pushing toward four figures, and steps up to XDS solenoid technology at the top of the range. The ID2600-XDS is the highest-flowing injector we carry and we see it going into dedicated time attack and drag cars running methanol or heavy E85.
One combination we've fitted more than once: a VR38-powered R35 GT-R running ID2600-XDS on a Radium fuel rail with a Link ECU. That pairing needs the correct injector data uploaded into the ECU before first start, not just a plug-and-play swap, and it's a good example of why we ask about your ECU and rail before we confirm a part number.
Fitment & Installation
The biggest fitment issue we see isn't the injector body, it's the adaptor top and clip. ID injectors ship with a range of adaptor top options (11mm, 14mm, or Denso-style) and the wrong one means the injector won't seat in your factory or aftermarket fuel rail, or your factory harness plug won't clip on. Tell us your fuel rail and engine loom before ordering and we'll confirm the correct top and clip combination in writing before your order is placed, so there's no guesswork once the box turns up.
Any injector swap needs a corresponding tune. Bigger injectors change your minimum pulse width and dead time, so budget for a professional retune rather than just plugging them in and driving off. [VERIFY: specific dead time / offset data should come from the ID injector data sheet for your exact part number, not assumed].
FAQAre Injector Dynamics injectors compatible with E85?
Yes. The X-Series range (ID1050x, ID1300x, ID1750x and ID2600-XDS) uses corrosion-resistant stainless steel internals, so they're suited to E85, ethanol and methanol blends used in Australian motorsport.
What is the benefit of the ID1750x over the older 1700cc injector?
The ID1750x steps up to Xtreme Duty Solenoid (XDS) technology, which gives better flow consistency at high fuel pressure and improved thermal stability. That makes it a more reliable choice for high-horsepower builds running aggressive fuel types.
Are ID injectors just modified stock injectors?
No. Injector Dynamics partners directly with Bosch Motorsport to manufacture injectors to their own specifications. They're purpose-built for performance use, not re-drilled factory units.
How long does it take to confirm the right adaptor top before I order?
We just need your fuel rail and ECU or engine loom details. Send us a photo of the injector plug or fuel rail if you're not sure, and we'll confirm the correct adaptor top and clip combination before your order is placed.
Not sure which injector or adaptor top suits your car? Get in touch and we'll help you get the fitment right before you order.
