Injector Dynamics Fuel Injectors for Nissan

Injector Dynamics Fuel Injectors for Nissan

Nissan's performance engine lineup — from the legendary RB26DETT to the SR20DET and the twin-turbo VR38DETT — includes some of the most fuel-hungry platforms in motorsport. Whether you are building a GT-R for drag racing, an S-chassis for drifting and time attack, or a 370Z for street and track, Injector Dynamics offers precisely characterised, dynamically matched fuel injectors with direct plug-and-play fitment for every major Nissan performance engine.

Nissan Skyline GT-R — RB26DETT (R32 / R33 / R34)

The RB26DETT is a six-cylinder engine with enormous power potential, and fuel delivery is almost always the first system to reach its limit in a serious build. The factory side-feed injectors are inadequate for anything beyond mild tuning, and most builds convert to top-feed injectors early in the process.

The Injector Dynamics ID1050x is the starting point for most RB26 builds. A set of six ID1050x injectors supports approximately 480 to 660kW at the crank on petrol at 80% duty cycle — covering single-turbo street builds through to moderately powered track cars. On E85, six ID1050x injectors support up to approximately 330 to 480kW at the crank.

For high-boost E85 and methanol builds, the ID1300x (six injectors supporting approximately 600 to 810kW on petrol) or the ID1750x (supporting well beyond 1,000kW on petrol) are the appropriate choices. The ID2600x is available for extreme drag applications running methanol at very high fuel pressures.

Pair your ID injectors with the Radium Engineering RB26 fuel rail and fuel rail plumbing kit for a complete top-feed fuel system upgrade. Radium's 17.5mm bore billet rail provides the fuel volume and pressure stability these injectors need at high flow rates.

Nissan Silvia / 200SX — SR20DET (S13 / S14 / S15)

The SR20DET is one of the most popular four-cylinder turbo engines in Australia for drifting, time attack, and street performance. Factory injectors run out of capacity quickly once boost, E85, or a larger turbo enter the equation.

A set of four ID1050x injectors supports approximately 320 to 440kW at the crank on petrol — more than enough for the vast majority of SR20DET builds including upgraded turbo, cams, and supporting modifications. On E85, four ID1050x injectors comfortably cover up to approximately 220 to 320kW. For builds targeting beyond 350kW on E85, step up to the ID1300x.

The Radium Engineering SR20DET fuel rail is the ideal pairing — it converts the factory side-feed system to top-feed, opens up modern injector compatibility, and provides the internal volume needed for high-flow operation. Add the Radium fuel pump hanger and plumbing kit for a fully integrated return-style fuel system.

Nissan 350Z / 370Z — VQ35DE / VQ35HR / VQ37VHR

The naturally aspirated VQ engines in the 350Z and 370Z are increasingly being turbocharged or supercharged, and E85 conversions are common on the 370Z platform. Once forced induction is added, the factory injectors become the limiting factor.

A set of six ID1050x injectors provides ample flow for most single-turbo VQ builds on petrol, supporting up to approximately 480 to 660kW at the crank across six cylinders. On E85, six ID1050x injectors support up to approximately 330 to 480kW — more than enough for the majority of turbocharged Z builds in Australia.

For the 370Z specifically, the Radium Engineering FHST (Fuel Hanger Surge Tank) is a critical companion upgrade. The factory 370Z fuel tank uses a saddle-bag design with insufficient baffling that causes fuel starvation under hard cornering and aggressive driving — a well-documented issue on track. The Radium FHST eliminates this problem by maintaining a constant fuel supply to the engine under all conditions.

Nissan GT-R — VR38DETT (R35)

The R35 GT-R's twin-turbo VR38DETT is one of the most capable engines ever produced, and tuned examples regularly exceed 1,000kW at the crank. The factory fuel system is adequate for stock power but becomes the bottleneck rapidly once boost, E85, or significant tuning is applied.

A set of six ID1050x injectors supports moderate R35 builds on petrol. For the higher power levels most R35 owners target, the ID1300x (supporting approximately 600 to 810kW on petrol across six cylinders) or ID1750x (supporting well over 1,000kW) are the more common choices. On E85 — which is extremely popular on the R35 platform — the ID1300x or ID1750x are almost always required to maintain safe duty cycles at the power levels these cars produce.

Why Injector Dynamics for Nissan?

Every set of Injector Dynamics injectors ships with complete characterisation data — dynamic slope flow rates, dead time values across voltage and pressure ranges, and dynamic flow matching at multiple pulse widths. This data is compatible with all major ECU platforms used in the Nissan tuning community including Haltech, MoTeC, Link, EcuTek, and UpRev. Your tuner loads the data directly into the ECU for accurate fuelling from the first start-up.

All ID injectors are fully compatible with petrol, E85, E100, and methanol. The corrosion-resistant stainless steel internals are built for extended service with aggressive fuels.

Read our fuel injector sizing guide for detailed power range calculations, or our injector characterisation data guide to understand why ID's data makes a measurable difference to tuning quality.
