This range covers gear oil for manual gearboxes, differentials and limited-slip differentials (LSDs). It includes Motul Gear 300 75W90, Motul Gear 300 LS 75W90 and ATS Gear Oil 85W-140, each sold in a 1 litre bottle. Always match the viscosity grade and oil type to the specification for your gearbox or differential.
Viscosity grade: Motul Gear 300 and Gear 300 LS are 75W90. ATS Gear Oil is 85W-140. Use the grade listed in your vehicle handbook or by your gearbox or differential manufacturer.
Limited-slip differentials: if your differential is an LSD, check whether the manufacturer calls for a limited-slip (LS) rated oil, such as Motul Gear 300 LS.
Quantity: every oil in this range comes in a 1 litre bottle. Check the oil capacity of your gearbox or differential before ordering.
Gearbox and diff codes: oil requirements can differ between gearbox and differential types fitted to the same model. Confirm the code for your unit before choosing an oil.
Installation & What You'll Need
Installation by a professional is recommended. A gear or diff oil change usually involves draining the old oil and refilling to the level the manufacturer specifies. Have enough 1 litre bottles on hand to fill your gearbox or differential to its listed capacity.
