Audi 1.8T — 20V Turbo

The 1.8T 20-valve turbo is one of the most modified four-cylinder engines in the world, found in the A4 (B5/B6), TT (8N) and S3 (8L). The factory injectors run out of capacity early in the modification path. A set of four ID1050x injectors supports approximately 320 to 440kW at the crank on petrol at 80% duty cycle, covering even aggressive big-turbo builds. On E85, four ID1050x injectors support up to approximately 220 to 320kW. For extreme builds beyond that on E85 or methanol, the ID1300x and ID1750x are available. Select "Audi 1.8L Turbo" when ordering for the correct 60mm body length and O-ring configuration.

Audi EA888 (MQB) — S3, TTS

The third-generation EA888 engine underpins the current MQB Audi and Volkswagen performance cars. These engines respond strongly to stage upgrades, larger turbos and E85, and the factory injectors become the bottleneck once power targets exceed what the standard fuelling can support. A set of four ID1050x injectors provides ample flow for most builds on both petrol and E85, and the shorter 34mm body length fits the MQB intake manifold directly.

Audi RS3 / TT RS — 2.5 TFSI EVO (8V / 8Y / 8S)

Stage 2 and beyond builds on E85 regularly push well past 400kW, which is more than the factory injectors can support. A set of five ID1050x injectors supports approximately 400 to 550kW at the crank on petrol; on E85, five ID1050x injectors cover up to approximately 275 to 400kW. For builds targeting beyond 400kW on E85, the ID1300x adds further headroom. Accurate characterisation data matters especially here — the odd firing order and uneven exhaust pulse spacing make cylinder-to-cylinder fuel consistency critical, and dynamically matched injectors deliver identical fuel to each of the five cylinders at every pulse width.

Audi R8 — 5.2 V10 (4S, 2015+)

The naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 is increasingly supercharged by owners chasing more from this mid-engine platform, and forced induction demands more fuel than the factory injectors can supply. A set of ten ID1050x injectors supports approximately 800 to 1,100kW at the crank on petrol. The same set also suits the Lamborghini Huracan.

Injector selection for Audi depends on three things: the engine and chassis code, the body length and O-ring configuration of the injector, and the flow rate required for your fuel and power target.

• Audi 1.8T 20V — A4 (B5/B6), TT (8N), S3 (8L). Requires the 60mm body length set of four. Select "Audi 1.8L Turbo" when ordering. The same 60mm set also lists fitment for the Toyota MR2 Turbo 3S-GTE (SW20) and Mazda MX-5 (NC).
• Audi EA888 (MQB) — S3 and TTS. Requires the 34mm body length set of four, which fits the MQB intake manifold directly. Select the Audi EA888 option when ordering.
• Audi RS3 / TT RS 2.5 TFSI EVO — 8V/8Y and 8S. Requires the 34mm set of five. Select "RS3 2.5 TFSI EVO" when ordering.
• Audi R8 5.2 V10 — 4S, 2015 onwards. Requires the 34mm set of ten. Select "R8 5.2 V10 (2015+)" when ordering.

Installation and tuning by a qualified professional workshop is strongly recommended. Fuel injectors require the fuel system to be depressurised and handled safely, and the engine must be retuned before it is driven.

Before fitting, confirm you have:

• The correct set for your chassis — body length, O-ring configuration and injector count (four, five or ten).
• New O-rings and seals as supplied, plus a suitable lubricant for fitting.
• The characterisation data supplied with the set, ready for your tuner to load into the ECU. The data is compatible with the major ECU platforms used in the Audi tuning community, including Haltech, MoTeC, Link, COBB Accessport and EcuTek.
• Fuel supply capable of feeding the injectors — a suitable pump, filter and, where used, the BPC100 brushless pump controller.
