Toyota/Lexus 2JZ-GE — Air-Assist Injection

The naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE is a common starting point for turbo conversions — the iron block and strong bottom end make it a popular and affordable alternative to the factory turbo 2JZ-GTE for high-power builds. The 2JZ-GE uses an air-assist injection system with a unique injector configuration that differs from the standard 2JZ-GTE setup, requiring a specific injector fitment.

The Injector Dynamics ID1050x is the go-to choice for most turbocharged 2JZ-GE builds on petrol. A set of six ID1050x injectors supports approximately 480 to 660kW at the crank at 80% duty cycle — covering single-turbo street builds through to serious track cars. On E85, six ID1050x injectors support up to approximately 330 to 480kW at the crank.

For high-boost E85 builds pushing beyond 500kW, the ID1300x and ID1750x provide the additional flow needed. Select the "2JZ-GE Air-Assist" variant when ordering to ensure the correct body length and O-ring configuration for the air-assist intake manifold.

Lexus SC400 — 1UZ-FE V8

The SC400's 4.0-litre 1UZ-FE V8 is one of the most swapped and turbocharged Toyota/Lexus engines in the aftermarket scene. Known for its reliability and smooth power delivery, the 1UZ responds well to forced induction — and upgraded injectors are essential once a turbo or supercharger is added.

A set of eight ID1050x injectors on the 1UZ supports approximately 640 to 880kW at the crank on petrol — enormous headroom for most turbocharged 1UZ builds. On E85, eight ID1050x injectors cover up to approximately 440 to 640kW. Select the "SC400" variant when ordering.
