We fit these to our own cars and to customer cars every week, and the reason GFB keeps coming up is consistency. A recirculating DV+ holds boost properly at the factory-fitted piston size, so there's no lag or boost creep once it's in. The Hybrid and Respons units give you the atmospheric sound without the tune headaches some cheaper valves cause, because they still recirculate a portion of air back into the intake. The Deceptor Pro II is the one we point people to when they want both worlds and don't mind wiring in a switch. None of it is guesswork parts-bin gear, it's engineered per platform.
Fitment & Installation
Most GFB valves are a direct bolt-in using the factory diverter valve location, but check your engine code against the listing, especially on EA888 Golfs and N20 BMWs where generation and gearbox matter. Deceptor Pro II units need a 12V switched feed run to the cabin if you want dash-mounted control. Boost gauges and the boost tap need a spare vacuum/boost source, and on some Golf Mk6 applications that's exactly what the GFB boost tap is designed to provide. If you're running an aftermarket tune, recheck your boost solenoid duty cycle after fitting a DV+ with integrated solenoid.

FAQ
Recirculating vs atmospheric BOV, which one do I want? Recirculating (like the DV+) sends air back into the intake, keeps your MAF-based tune happy and stays quiet. Atmospheric or hybrid valves vent some air to atmosphere for the classic sound, but can upset factory tuning on MAF-equipped cars if not matched correctly.
Will a GFB BOV trigger a check engine light? On MAF-equipped cars, a fully atmospheric valve can cause a lean surge or CEL. GFB's Hybrid and Respons valves are designed to recirculate enough air to avoid this in most cases, but a fully mapped ECU handles any valve better.
Does GFB make anything for boost control, not just valves? Yes, the G-Force III electronic boost controller kit and G-Force 3-port solenoid are in the range alongside EX38 external wastegates for cars running standalone boost control.
Do the underdrive pulleys fit my WRX? The 2-piece kit covers EJ20/EJ25-engined GC/GD/GG Subarus and SF/SG Foresters, covering both crank and alternator pulleys.
