SUV applications are not interchangeable with sedans. Although the X3, X4, X5, X6 and X7 share B58 and S58 engines with the sedans, the longer intake runs and different underbody packaging mean Dinan shapes those intake and exhaust parts differently.

Carbon fibre aero is also body-style specific: a rear deck spoiler for the M3 (G80) is a different part to the M4 (G82), and side splitters, skirts and diffuser surrounds are sold as sets for particular chassis.

Most Dinan intakes, inlet pipes and resonator deletes are designed as bolt-on parts using factory mounting points, so cutting or permanent modification is generally not required. Installation by a qualified professional workshop is recommended, particularly for exhaust, heat exchanger and suspension components where torque specs and alignment matter.

Carbon fibre intake and inlet parts can require a heat shield re-fit or minor bracket adjustment depending on model year, so allow extra time. Rear toe links should be followed by a wheel alignment. Carbon fibre aero may require removal of factory trim, and some parts use supplied fixings or tape-assisted mounting; follow the instructions supplied by Dinan.

Will a Dinan intake fit my B58 or S58 engine without a tune?
Many Dinan intakes are designed to work with factory ECU mapping, while some carbon fibre intake and inlet parts are intended to be paired with Dinan software for full benefit. Check the specific product listing for tune requirements.

Are Dinan resonator deletes legal in Australia?
Resonator deletes do not remove catalytic converters, so they are treated differently to catless products. Modification and noise rules vary by state, so check your local requirements before fitting.

Does Dinan make parts for the X3, X4 and other SUVs, or just the sedans?
Dinan produces SUV-specific intake and exhaust parts, including cold air intakes for the X3 M40i, X4 M40i, X3 M and X4 M, that differ in shape and length from the sedan versions. Always order by your exact chassis code.
