BMW X5 M / X6 M F95 / F96 Performance Parts & Upgrades
The BMW X5 M (F95) and X6 M (F96) have been sold in Australia since 2020 in Competition form, with a facelift in 2023. Both use the 4.4L twin-turbo V8 with xDrive all-wheel drive and share most engine, exhaust and suspension parts. Popular upgrades for the X5 M and X6 M
- Intake: the Dinan carbon fibre cold air intake.
- Exhaust: Dinan high-flow middle exhaust and X-pipe, and Dinan valved axle-back systems in black or polished tips.
- Suspension: AST adjustable and fixed lowering springs, and Dinan performance springs.
- Brakes: Bremtec cross-drilled front rotors, brake wear sensors and Frenkit caliper seal rebuild kits.
Choosing the Right Part
- Early or facelift: the facelift (LCI) arrived in 2023. Some exhaust parts are made for one version only, so check for "LCI" in the title.
- X5 M or X6 M: engine and exhaust parts are shared, but some lowering springs are made for one body. Check the title.
- Brakes: check your rotor size before ordering. The Bremtec rotors list their size in the title.
Installation
Have a qualified workshop fit springs, exhausts and brake parts. Get a wheel alignment after lowering the car, and bleed the brakes after a caliper rebuild or rotor change. A larger intake or freer exhaust can change how the car runs, so ask us if you're unsure what your car needs.
