TI Automotive Walbro Fuel Pumps

TI Automotive manufactures the Walbro range of fuel pumps, widely used as upgrade pumps for modified petrol and E85 engines. The range covers the 255 lph GSS342 for petrol builds, 450 lph and 525 lph E85/flex-fuel in-tank pumps, and the BKS1000 brushless pump for high-output fuel systems.

Choosing the Right Pump

Petrol, up to approx. 550 hp: Walbro GSS342 255 lph (universal) or the GSS342 kit for Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
E85 / flex fuel, approx. 750 hp: F90000274 (112 psi relief) or F90000267 (87 psi relief).
High-output E85: Walbro 525 (F90000285) – 525 lph at 13.5 V, up to 25 A draw.
Brushless: BKS1000 (E5LM) – contact us to confirm controller and fitment requirements.

Installation & What You'll Need

High-flow pumps draw more current than factory pumps, and ageing factory wiring can limit pump voltage and flow. A dedicated relay/hard-wire kit is recommended, particularly for the 450 and 525 lph pumps. Confirm hanger or surge tank clearance, inlet style and outlet orientation before ordering. Installation by a professional is recommended.

FAQ

Can I run E85 through the GSS342?
No – the GSS342 is rated for petrol. For E85 or flex fuel, choose the F90000267, F90000274 or F90000285.

What's the difference between the F90000267 and F90000274?
Both flow 450 lph at 276 kPa. The F90000267 has an 87 psi (600 kPa) pressure relief; the F90000274 relieves at 112 psi (772 kPa), which suits higher base pressures and boost-referenced regulators.
