Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V CP9A Performance Parts & Upgrades
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V (CP9A) was built from 1998 to 1999 and reached Australia as a Japanese import, in GSR and RS form. It uses the 2.0L 4G63 turbo four-cylinder with all-wheel drive, and shares its CP9A chassis with the Evolution VI. This page lists every part we stock for it, from Nitto and GSC Power-Division engine parts and ARP studs to HARDRACE suspension, Frenkit and Paragon brake parts, Turbosmart and GFB valves, Radium fuel parts and a Link ECU.
Engine: Nitto crankshafts, rods, pistons, stroker kits and gaskets, GSC Power-Division camshafts, valves, springs and guides, and ARP head studs for the 4G63.
Brakes: Alcon, AP Racing and Brembo big brake kits, Paragon rotors, and Frenkit caliper rebuild kits and shims for the Brembo calipers.
Suspension: HARDRACE toe arms, roll centre adjusters, tie rod ends, links and bushes, and AST coilovers.
Turbo and fuel: Turbosmart and GFB blow off valves, an ARTEC dump pipe, Radium fuel parts and Injector Dynamics injectors.
Cooling and tuning: Koyorad radiators, Mishimoto silicone hoses and a Link ECU.
Choosing the Right Part
Brembo or standard brakes: the GSR has Brembo calipers, while some RS cars kept smaller 15-inch brakes. Brake rebuild kits, pads and rotors differ, so check your calipers.
GSR or RS: the GSR and RS differ in rear diff and equipment. Check the title for drivetrain parts.
Evo V or VI: both are CP9A, but some parts are listed for one model only.
Age and past owners: most of these cars have been modified, so check what is already fitted first.
Installation
Most suspension and brake parts here are bolt-on, but they should be fitted by a qualified workshop. Engine internals need a qualified engine builder, and turbo, fuel and ECU changes need a tune. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change, and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work.
