Why Paragon for BMW M2 / M3 / M4

The factory M Compound rotor is a good rotor until it's cracked one, which we see regularly on cars that see repeat track days. Paragon's 2-piece front rotor (380 x 30mm for the blue caliper fitment, 400 x 36mm for gold/red/silver caliper cars) drops several kilos of unsprung weight per corner and lets you replace just the friction ring when it's worn, not the whole rotor. Titanium shims address the other F8x weak point: heat soaking straight through the piston into the fluid until the pedal goes long. We've had more feedback on shims fixing fade complaints than almost any other single part we sell into this platform. We keep the factory caliper in the conversation deliberately: it's a genuinely capable unit, so the smarter spend is rotor and heat management first, oversized BBK second (or not at all).

Fitment & Installation

Confirm caliper colour (blue vs gold/red/silver) before ordering front rotors, as Paragon's rotor sizing differs between the two fitments (380 x 30mm vs 400 x 36mm). The AP Racing rear fitting kit is specific to cars running CP9449/CP9450/CP9451 rear calipers, check your rear caliper casting before ordering. G8x-specific fitment should be confirmed by chassis code and build year, as the current-generation brake package differs from F8x. Installation is a straightforward bolt-on with no bracket changes on F8x; torque hardware to factory spec and bed pads in before hard use.
