Paragon Brakes for Honda Civic Type R FK8/FL5
We fit and recommend Paragon rotors on Civic Type R builds that come through the workshop, from Sydney daily drivers to cars campaigning at The Bend and Wakefield Park. Chicane Australia stocks Paragon 1-piece and 2-piece rotors for the FK8 and FL5, sized to the factory 350x32mm front and 350x11mm rear Brembo setup. If you've owned an FK8, you already know the OEM front rotors groove and wear unevenly well before 30,000km, even without track use. Paragon's higher-carbon iron and straight-groove slot pattern fix that properly, and the 2-piece range adds serviceable friction rings so you're never paying for a full rotor again down the track.

Why Paragon for the Type R
The FK8 loads its front brakes harder than most performance cars on the road, because a front-wheel-drive chassis pushes almost all its braking work through the nose. That's exactly why the factory rotors groove early. Paragon's iron is built for sustained front-axle heat cycling, and the factory Brembo 4-piston caliper is genuinely good hardware worth keeping. We recommend Paragon rotors first, before jumping to an oversized BBK the chassis doesn't need.
Fitment & Installation
Direct bolt-on to the factory Brembo caliper on both FK8 and FL5, no adapter brackets required. FL5 rotors are dimensioned differently to FK8 despite the same caliper family, so confirm your chassis code when ordering. FK2 and FD2 grey imports are supported on request, contact us to confirm fitment before you order.

FAQ
Will Paragon rotors fix the FK8 grooving problem for good?
Yes. The higher-carbon iron resists the wear pattern OEM rotors suffer, and on the 2-piece range you can replace just the friction ring once it eventually wears, instead of the whole rotor.
Do FK8 and FL5 use the same rotor?
No. Both use a Brembo 4-piston front caliper but the FL5 rotor dimensions differ from FK8. Confirm your chassis code when ordering.
Do I need a big brake kit or will rotors alone fix it?
For most street and track-day Type R owners, a Paragon rotor and a good pad compound solves the actual problem. A BBK is only worth it if you're chasing caliper piston area beyond what the factory Brembo offers.
What pad do you recommend with Paragon rotors?
DIXCEL M Type for street use, DIXCEL Z or ES for spirited road and track day work.
Do you ship Paragon brakes Australia-wide?
Yes, we're an authorised Paragon dealer in Australia and ship nationally.
