Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI CP9A Performance Parts & Upgrades
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI (CP9A) was built from 1999, with the 2.0L 4G63T turbo engine and all-wheel drive. Most cars here are JDM imports in GSR or RS form, and the Tommi Makinen Edition was also sold new in Australia in 2001. This page lists the parts we stock for the Evo VI, from Nitto rods, pistons and cranks, GSC Power-Division valvetrain and ARP studs to Radium and Injector Dynamics fuel parts, AST and Öhlins coilovers, HARDRACE arms, Mishimoto and Koyorad cooling, and Brembo, Alcon, AP Racing and Paragon brakes.
Engine: Nitto connecting rods, pistons, stroker kits and gaskets, GSC Power-Division cams and valvetrain, ARP head and main studs, and the Tomei exhaust manifold.
Turbo and fuel: the ARTEC dump pipe, Turbosmart wastegate actuator and fuel rail adaptor, GFB and Turbosmart blow off valves, Radium fuel parts and Injector Dynamics injectors.
Suspension: AST and Öhlins coilovers for Evo 4-6, and HARDRACE arms, bushes and end links.
Brakes: Alcon, AP Racing, Brembo and Paragon big brake kits, Paragon rotors and shims, and Frenkit rebuild kits.
Cooling: the Koyorad radiator and Mishimoto silicone hoses.
Choosing the Right Part
Evo IV-VI or VII-IX: the Evo VI shares its chassis with the Evo V and much of it with the IV. The VII-on CT9A is a new body, so chassis parts for it will not fit.
GSR or RS brakes: GSRs have Brembo brakes while some RS models have smaller 15-inch brakes. Frenkit kits and rotors are made for one or the other.
Engine parts: Nitto and ARP 4G63 parts cover Evo IV-IX, but check cam and wastegate parts list the Evo VI.
Installation
Engine internals, fuel and ECU work should be done by an experienced engine builder or tuner. Have suspension and brake parts fitted by a qualified workshop, get a wheel alignment afterwards, and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work.
