BMW M235i / M240i F22 Performance Parts & Upgrades
The BMW M235i (F22 coupe and F23 convertible) was sold in Australia from 2014 with the N55 3.0L turbo inline-six. It was replaced in 2016 by the M240i, which uses the B58 3.0L turbo six and ran until 2021. Both are rear-wheel drive and share much of their chassis with the M135i and M140i (F20). Popular upgrades for the M235i and M240i
- Intake and turbo: aFe and Dinan cold air intakes, Dinan and Wagner Tuning intercoolers, Dinan turbo inlets, and Turbosmart and GFB blow-off and diverter valves.
- Exhaust: MST downpipes, Dinan mid-pipes and axle-backs, the AWE Touring Edition exhaust and Scorpion resonator delete pipes and tunnel braces.
- Engine: Dinan coils and spark plugs, and GSC Power-Division camshafts, valves and springs for built B58s.

Choosing the Right Part
- M235i or M240i: the M235i has the N55 engine and the M240i has the B58. Intake, turbo, downpipe and engine parts are made for one engine only, so check the engine code in the title.
- Coupe or convertible: most parts fit the F22 coupe and F23 convertible, but springs and some chassis parts are made for one body only.
- Shared parts: some intakes here are titled for the M2 (F87) or 3 Series (F30), which share the same engines. Check the engine code in the title.
- Brakes and wheels: big brake kits need wheels that clear the larger calipers.
Installation
Have a qualified workshop fit suspension, brake and engine parts. Get a wheel alignment after suspension work and bleed the brakes after brake work. Intake, turbo, downpipe and camshaft upgrades need a tune to suit; ask us if you're unsure.
