Tomei parts are listed by chassis code, so match the code on your build rather than the model name alone. Subaru buyers should check GDB (A/B/C/D or E/F/G), GRB/GRF, GVB/GVF, VAB/VAG/SJG or VMG/VM4; 86/BRZ/GR86 owners should check ZN6/ZC6 (FA20) against ZN8/ZD8 (2022+); Nissan owners should check BNR32, BCNR33, BNR34, R35, Z33, Z34, RZ34, PS13/RPS13, S14 or S15; Mitsubishi owners should check CT9A or CZ4A.

The sub-brands differ in intent. EXPREME Ti is the core titanium line with 80mm piping, a single exit, clamp-band construction and the burnt-blue finish Tomei is known for. Ti RACING is the race-spec line for chassis such as GT-R, 350Z, 370Z and Z, with straighter pipe runs and larger exits. Ti SPORTS is JASMA-certified and tuned for a more liveable street tone, currently covering the GT-R and 2022+ GR86/BRZ. EXTRACK Ti is the newest line, built for 4WD and SUV platforms such as the Land Cruiser 250.

Tomei USA was Tomei Japan's US subsidiary until 2014 and has been fully independent since February 2019, and Tomei Japan has publicly stated it has no involvement in designing, testing or manufacturing Tomei USA products. Tomei USA part numbers start with "T"; every product listed here carries a numeric Tomei Japan part number.

Installation by a professional is recommended. EXPREME Ti and Ti RACING systems use clamp-band connections rather than traditional flanges, which saves weight but makes alignment more important: the hangers should be set before the clamps are fully tightened, otherwise the tip can sit off-centre. On WRX/STI and 86/BRZ builds, a matching Tomei manifold (equal-length or unequal-length, depending on turbo and tune) keeps the front of the system consistent rather than mixing brands.

Expect to need standard exhaust hand tools, new gaskets and hardware where required, a safe way to raise and support the vehicle, and penetrating fluid for older fasteners. Titanium cat straight pipes are for race and motorsport use only and are not designed for road-registered use.

Will a Tomei exhaust pass rego in my state? Ti SPORTS is JASMA-certified and generally the most liveable option for road use. Ti RACING and EXPREME Ti are race-derived and aren't guaranteed to meet noise limits, which vary by state and vehicle age. Get in touch before ordering if ADR compliance is a priority.

Are the titanium cat straight pipes road legal? No. They're for race and motorsport use only.
