The Nissan Skyline GT-R is Tomei's spiritual home. Founded in 1968 by former Nissan works driver Seiichi Suzuki, Tomei spent decades developing parts for the RB platform — first the RB20, then the RB24DETT prototype that pre-dated the RB26, and ultimately the RB26DETT that powered the R32, R33 and R34 GT-R to global motorsport fame. Every GT-R product in the current Tomei catalogue is the result of that long platform expertise, designed, tested and manufactured in Japan at the Machida, Tokyo facility — on the same 800HP engine dyno, 600HP engine dyno and Dyno Dynamics 4WD chassis dynamometer Tomei uses for their race engine development.

SKU 415003. If Tomei Japan is famous for one piece of RB26 hardware, it's the Full-Cast stainless-steel exhaust manifold set. Cast construction provides the thermal stability that welded tubular manifolds can't match — critical on a twin-turbo engine running sustained high exhaust gas temperatures through extended boost cycles. Optimised runner geometry suits the RB26's firing order and flow characteristics, and the cast stainless construction handles the thermal cycling that kills lesser manifolds on big-power GT-R builds. Ti RACING Titanium Muffler — R35 GT-R

SKU 441007. The premium Ti RACING muffler built specifically for the VR38DETT R35 GT-R platform. Completely different application from the R32/R33/R34 line — the R35's chassis, exhaust layout and buyer expectation sit at a different level, and Tomei's R35 product reflects that. Full titanium construction, Tomei-refined titanium stock, engineered for the R35's dual-exit rear layout. For serious R35 owners who want the original Tomei Japan exhaust rather than an aftermarket alternative.

Ti RACING Titanium Front Pipe — RB26 GT-R

SKU 431006. Full titanium front pipe engineered to bolt to the Full-Cast RB26 manifold (or factory manifolds) and mate with any Tomei RB26 cat-back. Cross-fits BNR32, BCNR33 and BNR34. Completes the exhaust system from turbo-back when paired with the matching Ti SPORTS or Ti RACING muffler.

Cast construction for thermal stability, optimised flow geometry, direct bolt-on replacement for the factory or aftermarket welded outlets. On upgraded-turbo builds the cast thermal stability is a genuine advantage over welded stainless under sustained boost and heat cycling.

Fitment is strictly chassis-specific. The Full-Cast RB26 manifold, Ti SPORTS and Ti RACING mufflers are RB26-specific — they do not cross-fit RB25 or R35. Confirm the exact Tomei part before ordering.

Genuine Tomei Japan — Not Tomei USA

There are two companies selling exhausts under the "Tomei" name globally. Tomei Powered Inc. (Japan) is the original, founded in 1968 in Machida, Tokyo — they developed the Full-Cast RB26 manifold and the Ti SPORTS and Ti RACING titanium mufflers, and they still build every genuine product. Tomei Powered USA was originally Tomei Japan's North American subsidiary, established in 2006, split off as a separate company in 2014, and fully independent since February 2019. Tomei Japan has publicly stated that Tomei USA products are not designed, supervised, tested, manufactured or quality-checked by them — Tomei USA part numbers typically start with "T". Every Tomei GT-R product at Chicane Australia is genuine Tomei Japan stock with numeric Machida-issued part numbers.

Road Legality & ADR Notes

Ti SPORTS mufflers are the JASMA-certified, street-friendly option and are generally the more liveable choice for road-registered GT-Rs. Ti RACING mufflers are race-derived and are not guaranteed to meet Australian noise regulations in every state. Given the age of most R32, R33 and R34 GT-Rs in Australia, state-specific modification and inspection rules may also apply. NSW, VIC, QLD and WA all have different dB limits and vehicle-age thresholds. Get in touch before ordering if state noise-testing or ADR compliance is a priority.
