BMW M2 (F87) 2016–2021 Performance Parts & Upgrades
The BMW M2 (F87) was sold in Australia from 2016 to 2021 as a rear-wheel-drive coupe. The first M2 used the N55 3.0L turbo six, while the later M2 Competition and M2 CS moved to the S55 twin-turbo six from the M3 and M4. Much of the suspension and brakes are shared with the M3 (F80) and M4 (F82). Choosing the Right Part
- M2 or M2 Competition: the first M2 has the N55 engine and the Competition and CS have the S55. Intake, intercooler, turbo and engine parts are made for one or the other, so check the engine code in the title.
- Manual or DCT: some drivetrain and interior parts are listed for one gearbox only.
- F87 or G87: the newer M2 (G87) has the S58 engine. A few SPL and Dinan suspension parts fit both, but most parts don't.
Installation
Have a qualified workshop fit suspension, brake, cooling and engine parts. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work. Intake, turbo and exhaust upgrades often need a tune to suit; ask us if you're unsure.
