The Porsche 911 Turbo (997.1) was sold new in Australia from 2006 to early 2010. It has a twin-turbo 3.6L Mezger flat-six with variable geometry turbos, all-wheel drive and a wide body. Popular upgrades for the Turbo 997.1
- Boost and cooling: Wagner Tuning Competition EVO2 and Performance intercooler kits and the GFB DV+ diverter valve.
- Tuning: COBB Accessport V3 for the 997.1 Turbo.
- Engine: GSC Power-Division bronze intake and exhaust valve guides and Viton valve stem seals.

Choosing the Right Part
- 997.1 or 997.2: the 997.2 Turbo has a different engine, so intercoolers, tuning and engine parts here are for the 997.1 only.
- Front or rear diff: Wavetrac offers a front diff for the AWD axle and a G50 rear diff. Check which one you need.
- Coupe or Cabriolet: EDC cancellation kits differ by body style.
Installation
Have a qualified workshop fit suspension, brake, fuel and engine parts. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work. Intercoolers, wastegates and ECU changes need a tune to suit; ask us if you're unsure.
