The collection covers four product types:

Match the wheel to your chassis code first: G87/G80/G82 and F80/F82/F83/F87 for the BMW M cars, E92 for the 3 Series, 991.1/991.2 for the 911 GT3 and GT3 RS, and GXPA16, GZEA14 or A90 for the Toyota GR models.

The Clubsport keeps a rounder profile, a slightly thicker rim and multi-function buttons where the car came with them from factory, so functions such as indicators and cruise control can still operate. The PRO Series is the flat-bottom, track-focused option with a thinner grip and more aggressive suede or leather combinations, aimed at drivers who prioritise a smaller diameter and quicker steering feel over daily comfort.

On quick release compatibility, use the KMP hub with the KMP wheel. Mixing a KMP wheel with another brand's quick release hub is not recommended, as splines and detent depth are not universal across manufacturers and a mismatched hub is a genuine safety issue.

Shift light kits are platform-specific. On the BMW M cars the kit reads off the CAN bus wiring behind the factory wheel, so the multi-function wheel needs to be retained or an aftermarket display added. The Porsche 911 GT3 and Toyota GR platforms use a different wiring loom again, so order the kit made for your exact platform rather than the KMP brand generically.

Every KMP wheel needs the correct boss kit for your chassis. If your car has an airbag, an airbag delete plate or a compatible aftermarket airbag solution is required to stay road legal. This is a track-focused setup, so if the car is still driven on the road, check your state's rules on aftermarket steering wheels and airbag deletion first.

On the BMW F8x and G8x M cars, the factory multi-function wiring runs through the column and connects into the KMP quick release base, so allow extra time for that connection. On the Porsche 991 GT3, tighter column clearance means the boss kit must be correctly seated before the quick release goes on, otherwise it can sit proud and foul the indicator stalk. Steering wheel and quick release work affects a primary control and, where fitted, the airbag system, so installation by a professional is recommended.

Will a KMP wheel suit my exact model and year?
Fitment depends on the boss kit for your chassis and whether your car has multi-function buttons or a factory airbag. Confirm your model and year with us before ordering so the correct boss kit and delete plate can be matched.

Can I use a quick release hub from another brand with a KMP wheel?
It is not recommended. KMP hubs and wheels are matched to each other, and mixing brands can leave the detent not seating properly, which is a safety risk. Use the KMP hub with the KMP wheel.

Does the shift light kit work on any car, or is it platform-specific?
It is platform-specific. BMW, Porsche and Toyota GR kits use different wiring looms, so order the kit made for your exact platform.

Is a KMP steering wheel road legal in Australia?
That depends on your state's rules around aftermarket steering wheels and airbag deletion, and whether the car is street registered or track only. Check your local requirements before fitting, especially if a factory airbag is being removed.
