aFe POWER — Toyota GR Corolla
aFe Power for Toyota GR Yaris and GR Corolla
We sell aFe Power gear into GR Yaris and GR Corolla builds across Sydney, from daily drivers through to cars doing regular track days at places like The Bend. This collection covers the Takeda Momentum intake and the Gemini XV cat-back, the two aFe products we currently stock for the G16E-GTS platform. It's genuine aFe Power stock.
Shop by Vehicle
- Toyota GR Yaris (GXPA16): Takeda Momentum intake only
- Toyota GR Corolla (GZEA14R): Takeda Momentum intake and Gemini XV cat-back
This is a deliberately curated range, not a partial catalogue. We'd rather stock two aFe products we trust on this platform than pad the page with parts we haven't fitted ourselves. The Lexus LBX Morizo RR also runs the G16E-GTS engine, but we haven't fitted this intake to one and aFe doesn't list it as a confirmed application on this SKU, so we're not advertising that fitment here. If you're running an LBX Morizo RR, get in touch and we'll check with aFe directly before recommending anything.
Shop by Product Type
- Cold air intake: Takeda Momentum Pro DRY S, fits GR Yaris and GR Corolla. Improves airflow into the G16E-GTS.
- Cat-back exhaust: Gemini XV Dual 2.5", GR Corolla only. Improves flow out the back end.
Two product types on this platform right now: intake and cat-back. We'll add to this if aFe releases more for the G16E-GTS.
Why aFe Power for the GR Yaris / GR Corolla?
The G16E-GTS is a 1.6-litre turbocharged triple, so any inlet restriction shows up fast in how it breathes. The Takeda Momentum uses a sealed XLPE housing to keep heat soak off the filter, with a dyno-tuned tube that outflows the factory box. This SKU runs the Pro DRY S synthetic filter, which suits Australian dust and doesn't need re-oiling, handy if you're covering gravel roads or doing regular track days. For GR Corolla owners, the Gemini XV cat-back adds flow on the exhaust side and is a natural pair with the intake.
On the GR Yaris, the factory scoop and inlet duct sit tighter around the airbox than on the GR Corolla, so we always check the scoop-to-filter clearance during fitment rather than assuming it clears like the Corolla install does. Owners tell us the biggest difference is intake noise under load, more induction rasp on part-throttle, rather than a huge shift in seat-of-the-pants power. That tracks with what we'd expect from an intake alone on a factory-tuned turbo triple: it's a supporting mod, not a standalone power adder.
Fitment & Installation
The intake fits 2021+ GR Yaris (GXPA16) and 2023+ GR Corolla (GZEA14R), both running the G16E-GTS. It's a direct bolt-on using factory mounting points and the factory air scoop, no tune needed to run it. [VERIFY: install time, we'd estimate around 30 to 60 minutes with basic hand tools but haven't timed every install ourselves.] On the GR Yaris, take care routing the factory scoop duct back onto the new housing, it's a snugger fit than the GR Corolla bay. The Gemini XV cat-back is GR Corolla-specific, so it won't fit the GR Yaris. Fitted together, the intake and cat-back give a proper in-and-out breathing upgrade for the GR Corolla. Both products carry aFe's standard manufacturer warranty against defects, and the intake retains the factory MAF and sensors so it doesn't interfere with ADR emissions compliance in the way an aftermarket tune or decat pipe would.

FAQ
Does this fit my GR Yaris or GR Corolla trim? The intake fits both GXPA16 and GZEA14R models running the G16E-GTS. The Gemini XV cat-back is GR Corolla only.
Do I need a tune to run this intake? No, it works with the factory ECU and sensors straight out of the box.
What's the difference between the intake and the Gemini XV cat-back? The intake improves airflow in, the Gemini XV cat-back improves flow out. Run both on a GR Corolla for the full upgrade.
Is the GR Yaris intake fitment identical to the GR Corolla? Same part, same G16E-GTS engine, but the GR Yaris engine bay is tighter around the factory scoop duct. We check that clearance on every GR Yaris install.
Will this intake affect ADR compliance or my warranty? The intake keeps the factory MAF and sensors in place and needs no tune, so it doesn't touch emissions compliance the way a tune or decat pipe would. It carries aFe's standard manufacturer warranty against defects.
