aFe Momentum GT Cold Air Intake
The Momentum GT cold air intake replaces the Patrol's factory airbox with a smooth, one-piece sealed housing made from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). It draws cool air through an auxiliary air inlet (with a urethane plug included if you want to block it), and a CAD-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube with a built-in resonance chamber keeps unwanted intake noise in check. Inside sits a large 9" oval 360-degree radial-flow filter for maximum airflow on the big V8.
On aFe's dyno the system is rated up to +19 hp and +29 lb-ft. On a heavy 4x4 like the Patrol, that low-end and mid-range torque gain is exactly what helps with towing, sand and everyday drivability.
Pro 5R or Pro DRY S — Which Filter for a Patrol?
The version we stock uses the oiled five-layer Pro 5R cotton-gauze media for maximum flow. That's a great street and touring filter — but if your Patrol spends serious time in dust, on dirt or outback touring, aFe also makes this same intake with the oil-free Pro DRY S synthetic media (part 51-76103), which is easier to clean and avoids the over-oiling pitfalls that can affect a heavily dust-loaded oiled filter. Fitment
This intake fits the Nissan Patrol Y62 with the 5.6L V8 (2010 onward). The same VK56 V8 is shared with the Infiniti QX80 / QX56 and the Nissan Armada, so the system suits those platforms too — contact us if you'd like fitment confirmed for your exact build and year.
Installation
The Momentum GT is a direct bolt-on using the factory mounting points — no cutting, no drilling, and no tune required. Stainless T-bolt clamps, a silicone coupler, the crankcase vent adaptor and all hardware are included, and the design uses fewer parts for a quick, clean install.
