Factory suspension is built to a price and tuned for comfort over a broad range of roads, so it compromises everywhere. Aftermarket parts target specific weaknesses: tired rubber bushings that let geometry move under load, soft springs that allow roll mid-corner, and a sway bar balance that no longer suits wider tyres or more power. Coilovers add adjustable ride height and damping. Stiffer bushings and solid arms hold alignment settings where you set them. Sway bars change how the car rotates without making the ride harsh, which is why many owners start there.
