Subaru Impreza WRX STI (GR) 2008–2014 Performance Parts & Upgrades

The Subaru Impreza WRX STI hatch (GR) was sold new in Australia from 2008 to 2014, with the 2.5L EJ257 turbo flat-four and all-wheel drive. It shares its platform with the GV STI sedan and the GH WRX, so many parts fit all three. Popular upgrades for the GR STI
  • Tuning and intake: the COBB Accessport V3 (Australian spec), COBB MAP and flex fuel sensors, and COBB, Perrin, Process West and aFe intakes.
  • Turbo and exhaust: COBB, Perrin and Process West intercoolers, Turbosmart and GFB blow-off valves, and KORSH, COBB, Borla, REMARK and Tomei exhausts.
  • Suspension: HARDRACE and COBB sway bars, end links, toe arms and bushings, plus Perrin and COBB driveline and transmission mount bushings.
  • Shifters: COBB drivetrain packages and GFB, Perrin and GrimmSpeed short shifters and bushings.
  • Brakes: Paragon, Alcon, Brembo and AP Racing big brake kits and Frenkit caliper rebuild kits.
  • Engine and fuel: GSC Power-Division and Supertech valvetrain, Manley rods and pistons, and COBB and Radium fuel rails and lines.
Choosing the Right Part
  • Hatch or sedan: the GR hatch and GV sedan share most parts, but aero and some exhaust parts differ. Check the chassis code in the title.
  • STI or WRX: the STI has a different engine and gearbox to the GH WRX, so engine, turbo and driveline parts may not swap between them.
  • Model year: some aero parts are made for 2008-2010 or 2011-2014 cars only. Check the years in the title.
Installation

Have a qualified workshop fit suspension, brake, engine and driveline parts. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change, and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work. Intake, exhaust, fuel and boost upgrades need a tune.
