Porsche 911 GT3 (997.1) 2006–2008 Performance Parts & Upgrades
The Porsche 911 GT3 (997.1) was sold new in Australia from 2006 to 2008. It is the track-focused 997, with a naturally aspirated 3.6L Mezger flat-six, rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual. This page lists the parts we stock for it, including GSC Power-Division camshafts and valvetrain parts, the COBB Accessport, MOTON, Öhlins and AST coilovers, HARDRACE and SPL arms, Frenkit rebuild kits and a Wavetrac differential.
Engine: GSC Power-Division exhaust camshafts, bronze valve guides and Viton valve stem seals for the Mezger engine.
Tuning: COBB Accessport V3 for the 997.1 GT3 and GT3 RS.
Coilovers: MOTON, Öhlins Road & Track and AST kits made for the 997 GT2, GT3 and RS models.
Brakes: Frenkit front and rear seal rebuild kits for the GT3 calipers.
Chassis and drivetrain: HARDRACE and SPL arms, bushings and end links, Torque Solution drop links and a Wavetrac G50 diff.
Choosing the Right Part
GT3 or Carrera: GT3 suspension and brakes differ from the Carrera. Pick coilovers and Frenkit kits listed for the GT3.
997.1 or 997.2: the 997.2 GT3 has a larger engine. The COBB Accessport here is for the 997.1 only.
Cup parts: some GSC parts are listed for Cup engines. Ask us to confirm fit for your road car.
Installation
Have a Porsche specialist fit engine and valvetrain parts, and a qualified workshop fit suspension and brakes. Get a wheel alignment and corner weight after any suspension change, and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work. Always follow the maker's instructions and torque settings.
