Mazda3 MPS BL Performance Parts & Upgrades
The second Mazda3 MPS (BL) was sold new in Australia from 2009 to 2013. It uses the 2.3L MZR turbo four-cylinder, front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual, and shares much of its engine with the earlier BK Mazda3 MPS and the Mazda6 MPS. Popular upgrades for the Mazda3 MPS
- Tuning: the COBB Accessport V3, COBB boost control solenoid hardware and high pressure fuel pump internals.
- Intake and boost: COBB SF intakes, airbox and filters, a COBB turbo inlet hose, GFB and Turbosmart blow off and diverter valves.

Choosing the Right Part
- BK or BL: engine parts are often shared with the first BK MPS, but body, suspension and exhaust parts differ. Check (BL) is in the title.
- Tune first: intake, boost and fuel upgrades should be paired with a tune, such as the COBB Accessport.
- Bush material: HARDRACE bushes come in hardened rubber or pillow ball. Rubber suits a road car; pillow ball is firmer and noisier.
Installation
Have a qualified workshop fit suspension, engine and fuel parts. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change. Re-check the tune after fitting intake, intercooler or boost parts, and ask us if you're unsure.
