Subaru Impreza WRX GD Performance Parts & Upgrades
The Subaru Impreza WRX (GD sedan and GG wagon) was sold new in Australia from late 2000 to 2007, with a turbocharged boxer four and all-wheel drive. Early cars use the 2.0L EJ205 and the last models the 2.5L EJ255. Many parts are shared with the GD STI. Choosing the Right Part
- Front end style: the GD was facelifted twice, for 2003 and 2006. Process West intercoolers come in Bugeye, Blobeye and Hawkeye versions.
- EJ20 or EJ25: 2.0L and 2.5L cars need different head gaskets, pistons and some turbo parts. Check your engine before ordering.
- WRX or STI: the STI has a 6-speed gearbox and different brakes. Driveline and shifter parts are often listed for one model only.
- Sedan or wagon: most parts fit both, but check the title for springs and exhausts.
Installation
Have a qualified workshop fit suspension, brake, fuel and engine parts. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change, and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work. Fuel and engine upgrades usually need a tune to suit, so ask us if you're unsure.
