Subaru Impreza WRX (GC) 1994–2000 Performance Parts & Upgrades
The first Subaru Impreza WRX was sold new in Australia from 1994 to 2000 as the GC sedan and GF hatch, and many more reached Australia as Japanese imports. It uses the 2.0L EJ20 turbo flat-four with all-wheel drive. Many chassis parts carry over to the GD WRX that followed. Choosing the Right Part
- AU-delivered or JDM import: Japanese cars and STI versions can differ in turbo, intercooler and brake setup. Check what your car has before ordering.
- Model year: some parts, such as GFB blow-off valves, are made for certain model years only. Check the years in the title.
- GC or GD: many HARDRACE parts fit both, but some suit the GC only. Check the chassis codes in the title.
- Age and past repairs: most GC WRXs have had parts changed by earlier owners. Check what's fitted before you order.
Installation
Have a qualified workshop fit suspension, brake, engine and driveline parts. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change, and bleed and road-test the brakes after brake work. Boost and engine changes need a tune to suit.
