BMW M440i (G22 / G23 / G26) 2020+ Performance Parts & Upgrades
The BMW M440i xDrive has been sold in Australia since late 2020 as the G22 coupe, then the G23 convertible and G26 Gran Coupe. All three use the B58 3.0L turbocharged inline-six with xDrive all-wheel drive. The B58 is shared with the M340i, M240i, Z4 M40i and Toyota GR Supra, so many engine and cooling parts cross over. Popular upgrades for the M440i
- Intake and turbo: Dinan and MST cold air intakes, Dinan carbon turbo inlet pipes and charge pipes, and Turbosmart blow-off valves.
- Exhaust: Scorpion sports cat and de-cat downpipes, a Scorpion half system and Dinan axle-back exhausts.
- Cooling: CSF and Dinan heat exchangers for hot days and track use.
- Suspension: AST coilovers and lowering springs, Öhlins Road & Track coilovers, Dinan springs, sway bars and strut braces, plus HARDRACE and SPL arms and bushings.
- Brakes: Alcon front and rear big brake kits.
Choosing the Right Part
- Body style: some springs and exhaust parts are made for one body only. Check the title for coupe (G22), convertible (G23) or Gran Coupe (G26).
- Adaptive dampers: cars with adaptive M suspension (EDC) need an EDC-ready kit or a cancellation kit. AST lists EDC and non-EDC versions.
- Engine version: the 2024 facelift brought an updated B58. Some intake, turbo inlet and blow-off valve parts suit one version only, so check the title.
- Not the M4: the M4 uses the S58 engine and different suspension, so its parts won't suit the M440i. Shop the M4 page instead.
Installation
Have a qualified workshop fit suspension, brake and engine parts. Get a wheel alignment after any suspension change. Downpipes and intakes usually need a tune to run at their best; ask us if you're unsure.
