The FL5 Civic Type R's factory intercooler heat soaks quickly on track or with more power, raising charge temperatures and the risk of knock. This PRL upgrade fits a dense 720 x 109 x 184mm bar-and-plate core with billet aluminium end tanks to bring charge temperatures down and keep power consistent. This listing is the raw (unpainted) finish.

Note: Fits the factory charge piping; PRL recommends pairing it with its charge pipe kit for best results. Factory bolts and hardware are reused. PRL states no ECU recalibration is needed. Installation by a professional is recommended.
