End links (also called drop links or sway bar links) connect the sway bar to the suspension upright or control arm, transferring anti-roll forces between the left and right sides of the car. This collection holds 251 products, including adjustable and fixed-length end links from SPL Parts, Suspension Secrets and Hardrace. Applications cover BMW, Porsche, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota, Mazda, Ford, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Infiniti and Tesla platforms, plus universal-fitment options.
End links are chassis and axle specific, so match the part to your vehicle and to the end you are working on.
Chassis code: Listings are specified by code, for example BMW M2 (F87/G87), M3 (F80/G80), M4 (F82/G82/G83), 3 Series (E46, E9X, F3X), 1 Series (E8X), Z4 (G29), Porsche 911 (996/997/991), Boxster (986/987/981/982), Cayman (987/981/982), Nissan 350Z (Z33), 370Z (Z34), GT-R (R35), Infiniti Q50/Q60 and Nissan Skyline (V37), Subaru BRZ, WRX/STI (VA), WRX (VB), Toyota 86, GR Supra (A90), Mazda MX-5 (NA/NC/ND), Ford Mustang (S550), Hyundai Veloster N (JS), Chevrolet Camaro and Tesla Model 3.
Front or rear: Front and rear end links usually differ in length and hardware. Some listings, such as the SPL Parts Front/Rear Swaybar Endlinks for the MX-5 (NC) and the Front or Rear Endlinks for the MX-5 (NA), suit either end.
Adjustable vs fixed: Adjustable links let you set length to remove preload from the sway bar after a change in ride height; fixed links are a direct replacement at standard length.
Length and thread: Universal options are listed by range and thread size, such as the Hardrace Adjustable Sway Bar Link at 280-319mm with M10 thread. Measure your existing link eye-to-eye before ordering a universal part.
Variants: Watch for variants such as short front links for BRZ/86, PRO-series rear links for 350Z/370Z, and non-M versus M-model listings on BMW E8X/E9X.
Installation & What You'll Need
Installation by a qualified professional or workshop is recommended. End links are a safety-critical suspension component and must be fitted and torqued correctly.
A safe hoist or jack and axle stands, with the car supported securely.
Spanners, sockets and often a hex or Torx key to hold the stud while loosening the nut.
Penetrating fluid and, on older cars, replacement hardware if the original fasteners are seized or damaged.
A torque wrench, and a tape measure or vernier to set adjustable links to equal length side to side.
Set end link length with the suspension loaded at ride height so the sway bar is not preloaded.
Recheck fastener torque after the first drive, and have a wheel alignment carried out if other suspension components were disturbed.
FAQ
What does a sway bar end link do?
It connects the sway bar to the suspension upright or control arm so the bar can resist body roll. Worn links cause knocking noises and reduce how effectively the bar works.
Do I need adjustable end links after lowering my car?
Adjustable links are commonly chosen after lowering, because they let you restore the correct sway bar angle and remove preload that a shorter or longer standard link would leave in the bar.
Are front and rear end links the same?
Usually not. Most listings specify front or rear, as lengths and mounting hardware differ. Some Mazda MX-5 (NA and NC) listings suit either end.
Will universal end links fit my car?
Universal links such as the Hardrace 280-319mm M10 item fit where the length range and thread size match your mounting points, so measure your existing links first. If in doubt, choose a vehicle-specific listing.
