The Radium Engineering FHST is a drop-in fuel surge tank solution designed to support high-power builds and ensure consistent fuel delivery in Audi R8 (Gen2) and Lamborghini Huracan models. This system provides a dedicated fuel supply for port injection, operating independently from the OEM direct injection system.
Key Features:
-
Drop-in fitment with no modification required
-
Supports high-output aftermarket fuel pumps (sold separately)
-
Isolates port injection system from OEM direct injection components
-
Prevents fuel starvation and pump cavitation during aggressive driving
-
Compatible with gasoline, ethanol (E85), and methanol
-
Anodized aluminum construction with stainless steel hardware
-
Fuel-resistant tubing, wiring, and sealed electrical connections
-
High-current electrical terminals with non-conductive acorn nuts
System Benefits:
-
Eliminates OEM fuel rail restrictions by separating port and direct injection
-
Increases fuel reserve around the pump to prevent starvation
-
OEM fuel level sensors and components remain fully functional
-
Ideal for custom or high-power port injection setups
Fuel Pump Compatibility:
Compatible with a wide range of brushed and brushless fuel pumps, including:
Walbro 267 / 274 / 285 / 295 / GSS342, AEM 50-1200, Bosch BR540, Deatschwerks DW400 / DW440 / DW810, Protec 11928, Fuelab 49614, and Injector Dynamics BPC1000.
(Sock filters included or supplied by manufacturer, depending on pump model)
How It Works:
The FHST installs on the left-hand side of the fuel tank, opposite the OEM pump. It draws fuel from:
-
The OEM venturi jet pump (302LPH tested)
-
Return flow from an external fuel pressure regulator
-
Three one-way fill valves flowing a combined 1,065LPH
This setup ensures a reliable fuel supply even in high-G or low-fuel conditions.
Note:
-
For Gen2 R8 and Huracan models, maintain a minimum ½ tank during track use.
-
Not compatible with Gen1 Audi R8 or Lamborghini Gallardo without additional components.
A recommended relay kit (Radium 17-0031) is advised for powering the internal pump.
