This Radium Engineering Fluid Lock PCV catch can kit (SKU 20-0315-FL) suits the EcoBoost-powered Ford Focus ST and Focus RS. It runs inline with the factory PCV valve and traps the oil vapour, unburnt fuel and sludge that would otherwise be drawn into the intake manifold at idle, cruise and on deceleration – especially straight after a hard run.

Keeping that contamination out of the intake, intercooler pipework and throttle body helps maintain effective octane and a cleaner intake charge. The kit mounts on the front left-hand core support near the radiator, and because the can is pressure sealed it is suitable for this boosted application. It is a closed-loop system that does not vent to atmosphere.

Note: Focus ST installations require the Radium 20-0356 Sound Symposer Delete Kit (or equivalent) to be fitted first for clearance. Check the level with the dipstick from around 3–4 weeks of driving and empty as required; excessive oil collection can indicate an engine problem. Installation by a professional is recommended.
