PRL Motorsports Tube and Fin Intercooler Upgrade - Honda Civic Type R (FL5)

PRL's tube and fin intercooler is built for FL5 owners who want steady charge temperatures over long track sessions with as little weight as possible. Its CSF core uses thin-walled oval tubes with internal fins, so heat leaves the charge air faster than through a thicker bar-and-plate core. The complete assembly weighs 6.5 kg, about 35% less than PRL's bar-and-plate intercooler.

Two finishes are available. The standard version is uncoated, while the black version adds a thermal dispersant coating that spreads heat more evenly across the core so more of it sheds heat, and adds corrosion protection.

Note: Suits the FL5 Civic Type R. PRL rates the tube and fin core at about 75% of the durability of its bar-and-plate core, as it's built for light weight and cooling efficiency. Installation by a professional is recommended.
