PARAGON Titanium Rear Brake Pad Shims – Subaru WRX STI (GDB/GRB/VAB) / PA026 Caliper

Paragon titanium pad shims fit between the brake pads and caliper pistons as a thermal barrier. This set suits the rear Brembo calipers on the 2004-2017 Subaru WRX STI and a range of other rear calipers, including the Paragon PA026, for more consistent braking on track.

Grade 5 titanium has much lower thermal conductivity than steel, so the shims slow heat transfer from the pads into the pistons, calipers and fluid. That helps prevent fluid boil and a soft pedal, and extends the life of seals, dust boots and fluid.

Note: Rear axle set. Works with OEM and aftermarket pads. Confirm your caliper matches one of the listed applications before ordering. Installation by a professional is recommended. Scion FR-S is a US-market model; the Toyota 86 is the Australian equivalent.
